Today the Baseball Writers’ Association of America deemed Jose Bautista as the third best player in the league, behind Jacoby Ellsbury and Justin Verlander. Yes … Justin Verlander.
A pitcher won an award typically reserved for position players that grind it out day-in-day out for a 162 game schedule.
Just after the award was announced, I put out this tweet and it’s already garnered 100+ retweets. I guess a lot of folks must agree!

This isn’t really Blue Jays related, but I have to give Justin Verlander props for keeping such a slim physique for eating Taco Bell every 5 days.
I think I heard somewhere that Jose Bautista’s pre-game meal is tea and toast. A very modest meal compared to Justin Verlander’s.
