Just the other day, I was speaking to someone about how I was convinced the Blue Jays were going to stand pat this offseason. Despite the fact that the club clearly had gaping holes in their roster, my cynical side thought the Blue Jays were going to do anything but make a splash.

Option A: Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson, John Buck and Melky Cabrera at sum of $179.5 million dollars.
Option B: Prince Fielder at $191 million dollars.
Seems like a no-brainer to me.

The Blue Jays announced they’ll officially be introducing Jose Reyes at a press conference tomorrow afternoon starting at 4:00pm. And as the lovely @ecb282 noted, it would be stellar if Reyes made his entrance on a donkey.
