Roberto Alomar’s Home Run, 19 Years Later

On this day 19 years ago, Roberto Alomar hits arguably the biggest home run in Blue Jays franchise history. His home run off Dennis Eckersley helped tie the game at 6-6, and subsequently the Blue Jays went on to win Game 4 of the ALCS.
The Blue Jays would go on to win the ALCS over the Oakland Athletics, and take the World Series trophy over the Atlanta Braves.
People say that Joe Carter’s home run was the biggest home run in franchise history, but without Robbie’s home run off Dennis Eckersley, the Blue Jays might not have gotten there in the first place.
