When Bob McCown asked Alex Anthopoulos if this was his team today, this was AA’s response:
“Right now I would say yes, but I’m hopeful something will break in 2-3 weeks, but as we sit here today I think this will most likely be the team going into Spring Training.”

I have a full recap of last night’s State of the Franchise over on BJH. A few interesting points: the Blue Jays had offers out to two free agents for more money and more years, but those free agents turned those offers down (Beltran and Madson possibly?)
Also, Beeston has looked into bringing in a grass field into the Rogers Centre, citing the turf is a reason why some free agents don’t want to come to Toronto.

I can’t believe I missed this, but Drew reminded me with this tweet that earlier in the week, Casey Janssen referred to Alex Anthopoulos as the “Silent Assassin”.
