In the wake of all the pitching injuries, it can be easy to dwell on the negative things surrounding the Toronto Blue Jays. The starting rotation may be in shambles, but there are a lot of things to be thankful for right now; namely Jose Bautista.
Every time I watch that scene from “Field of Dreams”, I get a little misty-eyed. Mostly because I couldn’t imagine an instance where a son wouldn’t be able to have a catch with his father.
Playing catch is a rite of passage for most young boys (and daughters). Tossing a baseball back and forth might seem like something so simple, but it really is a special moment shared between a father and son.

Omar Vizquel in the suede jacket, looking like he’s ready for a night out on the town.
Colby Rasmus also appears to be on “Team Pink”.
Alvarez, Cordero, Janssen, Villanueva and Arencibia on the way to the clubhouse.
Not only do they launch bombs at batting practice, but apparently they also like to admire 300+ yard drives at the driving range.
Brett Lawrie wonders whether he should go with the 3 wood.
Nice form, Jose - don’t forget about the follow through!
To this date, 725,336 fans have passed through the turnstiles at the Rogers Centre since Opening Day. During that same time period last season, 556,009 fans turned out to see the Blue Jays in 2011. That’s an incredible 23% increase in ticket sales year over year through the first 28 home games.
