Lazy Sunday Brett Lawrie Photoshops
Drew over at Getting Blanked got the ball rolling with these great Brett Lawrie leering photoshops. Here are my submissions below: First off, it’s Brett Lawrie within a Brett Lawrie within a Brett Lawrie. It’s Inception, Lawrie style. Lawrie joins the kids from The Goonies in search of One-Eyed Willie’s fortune. Finally, Brett Lawrie as Wilson from Home Improvement.

Happy Pitchers and Catchers Reporting Day!
Finally, the day has arrived - all pitchers and catchers have reported to Blue Jays Spring Training Camp! There’s actually a very high turnout for position players as well, as they officially don’t have to report to camp until Friday, but it’s nice to see a bunch of them like Travis Snider, Brett Lawrie and Jose Bautista get a head start. Happy 20th Anniversary of "Homer at Bat"
Believe it or not, today marks the 20th anniversary of arguably the best Simpsons episode ever, “Homer at Bat”. Word on the street is Don Mattingly’s sideburns haven’t been the same ever since, Steve Sax is still serving those six consecutive life sentences, and Ozzie Smith is nowhere to be found.

The First Signs of Spring: Blue Jays Spring...
Technically, pitchers and catchers don’t need to report to Spring Training until Tuesday, but it looks like the Blue Jays are getting a head start on their workouts. Snider, Lawrie, Lind, and can’t tell who the others are. Blue Jays pitchers working off the mound. Kyle Drabek getting some words of wisdom from pitching coach Bruce Walton. Kyle Drabek throwing a bullpen...

Brett Lawrie ... a Yankees Fan?
Say it ain’t so, Brett! Here’s a childhood photo of Brett Lawrie and his sister Danielle during a family trip to Toronto. Check out the entire article over at ESPNW, it’s a great read on the sibling rivalry between Brett and Danielle.

What better day than Valentine’s Day for a great love story? This is the tale of my break-up and make-up with baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays. Luckily, like any great love story, it has a happy ending.

The Blue Jays and Managing Fan Expectations →
There’s been a big uproar by Blue Jays fans this off-season, and one wonders whether club has done a proper job of managing their expectations. While I think the Blue Jays could have gone about things a little differently, I trust what’s going on behind the scenes. More or less, let’s just let AA and the Beest do their jobs. There’s no point in second-guessing every...
